There is a great sense of satisfaction in turning someone's vision into a reality. Seeing my work bring happiness to others is an honor that I don't take for granted. I pride myself in what I do, and that seed was planted long ago...
Being the son of a retired custom home builder, it was only natural that a love of building was sparked within me at a very early age. As I grew up, my career path lead me elsewhere. However, I still found myself working on fences and decks, and assisting my father with building projects, all in my spare time. What began as just a weekend hobby has now turned into a full-fledged business venture. In 2017, I started Black Forest Woodworks, as a way to showcase my custom building projects. Even then, it was just a part-time way to earn extra income, while still working a full-time job in office management. By late 2019, balancing my day job and my woodworking proved to be nearly overwhelming. With the support of my family and friends, I made the decision to go into building full-time. Black Forest Woodworks was incorporated in May of 2020, and I haven't slowed down since.

The Black Forest story begins with this simple farm table...
My wife and I moved into our new home in the summer of 2017. As a housewarming gift to her, I built the farmhouse table and bench that you see here. I shared this exact picture on Facebook, simply because I was proud of what I had created. I had no idea what was in store. Within weeks, I had received multiple requests for dining tables and other custom-built pieces. It hasn't slowed down since, and I couldn't be more grateful.
